Let me OUT!

If you frequent the blogs of the midwest, what you're about to hear may sound very familiar...

I've had ENOUGH! I can't take this weather any more. I haven't suffered cabin fever like this in YEARS. The cold I can handle, but the unrelenting snow and ice are driving me nuts...

To try and regain some sanity, I escaped to Cleveland, OH this weekend to bust some moves at Ray's Indoor MTB park. Ok, so I don't really have many moves, but I took the opportunity to polish up what I got.. ;) Most of the day was spent in the MOEN sport course area practicing on the beginner rhythm jumps. Took me most of the first day, but I got'em down pretty good. Today was spent trying to clean just ONE of the bigger boxes in the intermediate jump line. I got close. I'm just short of making it. Don't know if I'll get back there before they close, but if I do, I'll be spending a long day on those jumps again.

I can't wait for spring now, and getting to discover the jumps and parks around Chicago. I'll be there for the first day of digging at the Plainfield park being built by CAMBR. These guys put in a lot of hard work and have negotiated a great opportunity for free-riding in Chicagoland. Check it out!

Time to put my aching body to bed.

without a doubt! The Satellite Winter Riding Series hasn't quite worked out for me like I'd hoped. Mainly my inability to get out and ride when Scott can. I was hoping to make it back for at least one WRCS ride, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. :(

I am with you. This weather has got to stop. This is by far the worst winter in recent memory.
